I think there is beer in this keg!
Partake Brewing is working on a alcohol free IPA, and is raising funds over on the crowd funding site, Kickstarter.
Here is a video by the founder of Partake, Ted Fleming:
Looks like they have raised over 14 thousand of the 7 thousand plus dollars they needed to go ahead.
From the Kickstarter description:
"Five years ago I gave up alcohol due to a medical condition. But I missed my beer. I missed the taste of beer and discovering new beers, especially new craft beers. But more than that, I found that I missed the social connection that comes from sharing a drink with a colleague after a hard days work, cracking a beer with the guys after hockey, and joining in to celebrate special occasions with family and friends.
So a friend suggested that I try non-alcoholic beer. The problem is most of the non-alcoholic beer I tried tasted awful and there really was almost nothing in terms of variety. Unfortunately the long-standing stigma surrounding non-alcoholic beer has been well deserved.
That is until now!
Partake Brewing is going to change what people think about non-alcoholic beer forever!
We will be focused on crafting and brewing great tasting non-alcoholic beers in a variety of styles starting with our recently developed non-alcoholic IPA. Our IPA features three varieties of hops and six malts. This beer truly is Beer Lover Approved.
And if that weren't enough at only 10 calories, 2g of carbohydrate and 0g of fat this could well be the world's healthiest beer.
If you want to Partake in our mission of making the world's best non-alcoholic beers, please support our project."
I can see why this has met it's goals and then some, I am sure there are many people who, like Ted, can'tr enjoy beer anymore for medical reasons. There are already non-alcoholic beers out there, but I can't say I would be excited or interested in drinking any of them. But this one sounds like it could be the one I would want to give a try.
Would you drink it?
